Patti LaBelle Embarks on Gospel Church Tour
Chrysler & American Airlines Present “The Gospel According to Patti 
Los Angeles, CA – Two time Grammy award winning music legend Patti LaBelle is kicking off “The Gospel According to Patti” concert tour of 14 of America’s largest churches. LaBelle’s will perform songs from her first gospel CD, “The Gospel According to Patti,” produced by Umbrella Records, which is scheduled for release November 21.
At some of the performances, Ms. LaBelle, will be joined by one of her friends featured on the CD such as Mary Mary, Yolanda Adams, CeCe Winans, The Soul Seekers, Jay Moss, Tye Tribbett and Winona Judd. In addition, Ms. LaBelle will perform some songs with the church choirs.
Concerts will be held on the followings dates/locations:
- Potters House, Oct.7 – Dallas, TX
- St. Agnes, Oct. 13 – Houston, TX
- West Angeles COGIC, Oct. 27 - Los Angeles, CA
- House of Hope, Oct. 28 – Chicago, IL
- Deliverance Evangelist Church, Nov. 10 – Philadelphia, PA
- Christian Cultural Center, Nov. 17 – Brooklyn, NY
- Greater Grace, Dec. 1 – Detroit, MI
- Jerico City of Praise, Dec. 2 – Landover, MD
- New Birth Missionary Baptist Church, Dec. 6 - Atlanta, GA
- Cricket Arena, Dec. 8 - Charlotte, NC
- The Fox Theater, Dec. 10 – St. Louis, MO
- Faithful Central Bible Church (The Forum), Dec. 16 – Los Angeles, CA
- The Wolstein Center at Cleveland State University, Dec. 23 – Cleveland, OH
- New Jersey Performing Arts Center, Jan. 7 – Newark, NJ
- The Paramount Theater, Mar. 31 – Denver, CO

To promote the Chrysler Aspen Ride and Drive program, LaBelle will tape radio spots inviting consumers to take a test drive for the chance to receive tickets to her concert. In addition, local radio partners will conduct a “Spot the Chrysler Aspen” contest to promote the new vehicle and the LaBelle concert.
American Airlines serves as the offical airline sponsor of the tour.

My husband and I attended the concert at St. Agnes church in Houston, TX. You were wonderful, Patti. Thank you and God Bless you in all that you do. The local church choirs that preceded your performance were also terrific. Also, having the opportunity to hear you sing with your friend, Yolanda Adams, was just icing on already great concert. Hey Patt fan’s Patti was here last night here in Houston Texas, I have never seen a Patti concert that full their was no seats left they had to put seats in the walk way. Patti came out from the back singing When Youve been blessed fills like heaven, walk around heaven , lots more Patti was joined by Yolanda Adams for one song from her upcoming CD. Patti got on the floor , Patti talked to the church with her regular Patti way. The show at St. Agnes church here in Houston, Texas was anointed! Ms. Patti has such a warm and loving spirit, and it is felt throughtout the audience. I have always loved ‘Ms. Patti’, because I felt like she represented the kingdom well! She is a fine example of a Christian woman who has taken her place in the secular world with her God-given talent, and she truly represents the kingdom well. Because of the woman that she is, she did not have to ‘deviate’ too far from who we know her to be in order to complete this project. I am looking forward to the release of the project.
